iBest.net Email Setup - Netscape Messenger
Step 1. Open Netscape Messenger, and then find your way to the "edit" menu.
Step 2. On the "edit" menu, select the "preferences" section
Step 3. When the dialog box appears, select the "Mail & Newsgroups" section, then select the "Identity" sub menu.
Change the "Your Name" field to your name.
Change the e-mail address field to your e-mail address. (Usually user@domain.com, where domain.com represents a valid domain name)
Step 4. Now select the option below it titled "Mail Servers." To the right there are settings for multiple mail servers.
Click the mouse inside the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:" field. type "smtp.domain-mail.com".
Then Click below in the field titled "Outgoing mail server user name:" and type username%yourdomain.com@yourdomain.com
(Where username is equivalent to the username that you created or were assigned, and yourdomain.com is equivalent to the domain name that the mail is being hosted)
Step 5. Then proceed to the top area of the screen, and press the "Add" button in the "Incoming Mail Servers" section.
A window should pop up and ask you for the following information, Server Name, Server Type, User Name.
Enter pop3.domain-mail.com for Server Name, Select POP3 for Server Type, and for User Name, type username%yourdomain.com@yourdomain.com
(Where username is equivalent to the username that you created or were assigned, and yourdomain.com is equivalent to the domain name that the mail is being hosted)
Step 6. Click the okay button, then exit out of the user preferences.
Then click the button that says "Get Mail"
Step 7.
A box should come up and prompt you for a password. Enter the password.... and press "OK"
Step 8.
It should now check the mail, and download any mail that you have.
